 The American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO "Showing of Interest"

Honolulu, Hawaii (8 September 2009) – Teddie Joe Snodgrass – announces that he is releasing a "Showing of Interest" for the Professional Federal Department of Defense (DoD) Employees assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center - Honolulu, Hawaii.

Representatives from the American Federation of Government Employees AFL-CIO Union in Washington DC will be available to talk with Professional DoD Staff assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center during the later part of September 2009.

An initial "Showing of Interest" form is online at www.TAMCUnion.org for those interested in obtaining more information regarding the formation of a Professionals Union at Tripler Army Medical Center.

This is only an initial survey to see if enough interest with Tripler Army Medical Centers Professional Staff is available to pursue further union formation with the Federal Labor Relations Authority.

Professional Staff include the following DoD (NSPS) employees assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center as well as those assigned to Schofield Barracks:

  • Audiologist

  • Child Life Specialist

  • Civil Engineer's

  • Consultant - (Psychiatry, Otolaryngology, etc)

  • Communicable Disease Specialist

  • Cytotechnologist

  • Dietitian

  • Electronics Engineer

  • Health Physicist

  • Human Resources Specialist

  • Industrial Hygienist

  • Librarian

  • Mechanical Engineer

  • Medical Technologist

  • Microbiologist

  • Occupational Therapist

  • Optometrist

  • Pharmacist

  • Physical Therapist

  • Physician

  • Physician's Assistant

  • Podiatrist

  • Psychologist

  • Secretary (Office Automation, etc)

  • Social Worker

  • Speech Pathologist

  • Supervisor Nurse

  • Training Instructor

  • Other Professionals not listed may apply as well as those assigned to Schofield Barracks.

All interested Professional employees are requested to watch the "Defense Workers Orientation Video" at www.TAMCUnion.org  and to fill in the online "Showing of Interest" form with their personal data.

NOTICE:

1. WORK INFORMATION CANNOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE ONLINE SHOWING OF INTEREST FORM.

2. EMPLOYEES CANNOT BE CONTACTED THROUGH WORK MEDIA (EMAIL or TELEPHONE).

3. ALL CORRESPONDENCE WITH EMPLOYEES MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED OFF PREMISES FROM TRIPLER ARMY MEDICAL CENTER.

AFGE Attorney Cathie McQuiston from Washington DC and AFGE National Organizer, Joe Diggs from Phoenix, Arizona are currently slated to be on O'ahu from September 18, 2009 through the end of September 2009 to speak with the Professional NSPS Staff at Tripler Army Medical Center that desire information on forming a Professionals Union.
